What is it?

Visual guessing game using your camera in group chat

What is it? Is a fun and imaginative game to play online with friends, family or your youth group.

How to play

Get everyone in the group to choose an object from around their home. Keep it secret and do not let anyone see what you have chosen before the game starts.

Take it in turns to hold your object very close to the camera so no one can see what it is, then move it slowly back from your camera while others see how quickly they can guess what it is.

To play with younger children, the adult could choose a number of different objects and the children could guess.

What are the hardest things to guess? Which objects were easy? What is the quickest anyone could guess?

Take it Further

If you enjoyed this you might like to try Drawing Twins, or How’s Yours? Both are games that work really well online.

There are hundreds of other great games, many of which can be adapted for online use, in the book Games, Games, Games, a publication with around 250 group games. The games are essentially co-operative in nature and develop skills and attitudes which encourage learning together and supporting one another.
