Join us to go through the activity Face your Carbon Elephant together. We will be working out what makes up our carbon footprints and what we feel we could and couldn’t change to improve it. We will also discuss which things are you not prepared to live without? What do you think is an achievable footprint for you?
This activity was adapted from the Handbook for Action Against Climate Change from our partners at IFM-SEI.

Do you take part in social action? Locally, nationally or internationally? Are there topics and causes that you are passionate about that you could take action on such as the climate emergency, peace, refugee and migrant issues or LGBTQIA+ rights?
Join us for a session looking at how we take part in social action and whether there are new or different ways that we can make our voices heard in society. Is marching the most effective way of making change? Or are there other ways of spreading messages to others and to governments who make the rules and systems and have the power to make bigger change? This will be an open discussion as well as a short presentation from Ros Ereira who works with Solidarity for Refugees and Amnesty International and has a wealth of experience in activism, social action and organising campaigns.

You brush your teeth every day to take care of them, but what do you do for your eyes?
The number of people affected by sight loss is rising – but around 50% of cases can be prevented, if detected early enough.
This free, interactive workshop from Eye Heroes trains children to become eye health champions and inform people about the importance of regular eye tests in preventing sight loss.
The Eye Heroes programme:
- shares essential information about eye care
- boosts child confidence
- includes games, videos, role play and more
In this workshop we will:
- learn about their eyes and how to take care of them
- consider the impact of sight loss
- take up the challenge of sharing the Eye Heroes message safely with family and friends online
The workshops empower children to recognise their ability to learn – and to share their wisdom with others.
And it really works. Over 40% of those who hear the Eye Heroes message decide to have an eye check – an amazing impact, thanks to the children who take up the Eye Heroes challenge.

- What fairtrade means to farmers in other countries
- How we can change the world by breakfast.
